- Repeating what is spoken to him verbatim

- Can initiate greetings with familiar people
- More responsive in his interactions with others
- Improvement in expression of feelings, needs, and emotions (e.g. able to smile, clap when enjoying an activity)
- More eye contact and longer participation when interacting with others
